Stovall Family Reunion--Camas July 1-4, 2011

Kristy organized a great family reunion and we were fortunate to have great weather as well. We are so glad that everyone, except John and Dakin (who are in Enland), was able to attend. We enjoyed the time we spent at the park, kayaking at the lake, and all the good food. The fireworks were awesome and we look forward to the next reunion.

Grandma's House in Emery, Utah

This is a picture of my cousin, Phillip Jolley, and me in front of my grandma's old house in Emery. I lived there for two years when I was in Jr. High. Phillip lived just down the street. We had a great time together roaming the foothills, hunting rabbits, riding our bikes, etc.

Catching up on our kids blogs

This morning I caught up on what my kids have been blogging about. I have been spending a lot of my spare time recently doing research on my ancestors on Ancestry.com, as a result I neglected the activities of my own family!

It was great to see pictures of Easter Sunday and birthday parties, trips to the zoo, family visits and even pictures of our old house...except it didn't look like the old house inside. Anyway reading blogs is almost as good a phone call or a visit.

This is a video I took of Mom and Dad's new house while I was there last week. It's a highly compressed version, so I apologize that some of the details don't show up well. Mark pointed out that I almost never show the ceiling heights. Basically, be prepared for some awesome camera work and commentary; it just might win an Academy Award actually. It's about 10 minutes long, so allow yourself enough time and maybe pop some popcorn.

Meet Dexter -- the new hound

We would like to introduce you to Dexter. He is 8 weeks old and soft and cuddly as any good puppy should be. He likes to play with grandchildren and is very adorable to children of all ages!

Maui No Ka Oi

Aloha!
We are on Maui with Kristy, Bob, Matthew and James enjoying the beach, sun, pool and food! We drove to the top of Haleakala yesterday, we could see the tops of both of the volcanoes on the Big Island. It was awesome!!

Initial Post--It was awesome!

We spent the day driving up the Oregon coast and along the Columbia river with our oldest daughter and her husband and children. As we traveled we listened to 80's hits on SiriusXM.
It was awesome!
